Fashion and Dress

Every embodiment that is used to cover the body as a wearing apparel is called a dress. A cocktail gown, a uniform, a bathing suit, a trench coat, a pair of leather boots and gloves, and a tiara can all be accounted as dress. The term costume is a much broader concept which includes not only the clothing but also all other accessories that can come or pair up with the dress. On the other hand, fashion is the idea that is applied in such a way that a dress is regarded as a standard by a certain group of individuals.

The basic use of a dress is to protect the body against the environment and extreme weather conditions. In cold regions, people wear thick dresses like fur coats to protect themselves from the climate. In desert regions, people wear long but cool dresses to protect themselves from the sun in a comfortable manner. In both cases, people can think of ways to embed fashion in their dresses.

Dress also satisfies more complex necessities such as covering a body part or to express a mood. Some dresses are worn to uphold power and public impression. In the corporate world, dress can indicate ran or social standing. Some people choose a dress based on how attractive they will look like wearing it. Through different dresses and compliance to fashion, people can increase their confidence and boost their spirits.
